The patented Java® Cushion contour works by redistributing the forces of pressure and shear away from high risk areas, while selectively applying the forces to areas more tolerant. The design helps decrease long-term skin risk and aids in sitting stability for improved functional performance. The Java Cushion is most effective when coupled with a Ride® back support to aid in postural support.
The Forward Cushion surrounds the pelvis with supportive contours while reducing pressure around at-risk bony prominences. This helps improve postural control without compromise of skin protection for users with mild to moderate postural challenges and some sensation. The cushion helps to keep the hips level and positioned at the back of the chair for enhanced stability. The Forward Cushion is most effective when coupled with a Ride® back support to aid in postural support.
NEW! Now available in four additional sizes: 14 x 18”, 15 x 15”, 15 x 17" and 17 x 17.”
The Custom Back provides exacting support for the widest range of needs — it is the better solution for those considering traditional custom wheelchair seating and also an ideal match for the growing and active user.
The shape capture process allows the Custom Back to be made to fit virtually any size and contour. Custom Back shapes can be captured using the bead bag and vacuum system. Now you can skip the plaster step and use the RideWorks app to quickly and accurately scan a 3-D image of the shape. The Custom Back is most effective when coupled with a Ride® wheelchair cushion.
