Important New Information about the Ride Custom Cushion

Due to the overwhelming response and success of the unique Spacer Fabric cover, Ride Designs is now shipping the Ride Custom Cushion with the same cover material.

The skin-friendly Spacer Fabric has several advantages:

• Higher air permeability and improved moisture vapor transport.
• The multi-filament structure has been proven to advance the transport of moisture away from the skin’s surface, keeping skin dry.
• Reduced shear and friction — helps prevent chaffing and irritation.
• Provides cushioning — three-dimensional structure provides an exceptional cushioning effect thereby improving cushion comfort.
• Light weight — further enhancing the manageability of the lightweight Ride Custom Cushion.
• Washable — keeps its unique characteristics even after numerous machine washings.

This cover change does effect how the Ride Custom Cushion is fitted and used.

Previously the Ride Custom Cushion could be fitted and used without its cover. This is no longer the case. The spacer fabric cover is a critical part of the Ride Custom Cushion. It assists in the comfortable support of the sitter and aids in the suspension of bony prominences off of the cushion base. Therefore, fitting of the Ride Custom Cushion must be completed with the cover on. Please review the revised Ride Custom Cushion Owners Manual for details on fitting the Ride Custom Cushion.
