Joe has specialized in wheelchair seating since becoming an orthotist in 1984. He is the pioneer and primary inventor of virtually all of the products currently provided by Aspen Seating, the parent company of Ride Designs. Additionally, he was a key figure in the early designs and further development of the seating orthosis at Gillette Children's Hospital in Minnesota.
My favorite thing about working at Ride Designs is...
the creative atmosphere working with the team and clients personally to change lives.
What we do at Ride Designs is so important because...
people need a new product to address complex skin and postural issues.
My childhood was spent...
growing up in a great family on the Mississippi River in central Minnesota.
In high school, they thought I was Most Likely To...
be an inventor.
On the weekends, you'll find me...
with my family, from whom I get my inspiration.
The five items I can't live without are...
spirituality, family, purpose, passion, and outdoor activities.
The celebrity I resemble most is...
Eric Estrada, many years ago.
The last great book I read was...
Good to Great by Jim Collins.
My most humbling moment was...
not so much a moment, but the on-going experience of meeting the people we serve and learning their life stories.
